New Zealand's Colorful LGBTQA Parade: When the hip Auckland Pride Festival attracts visitors from all over the world to the New Zealand capital in early February, there are plenty of great events and activities. For two weeks every day something exciting is on offer such as movie nights, exhibitions and parties. Highlight of this unique event is the big Pride Parade. Colorful disguised people and lovingly decorated vehicles transform the city into a happy street party. In recent years, the parade has been used by supporters of the LGBT community to point out police violence against queer people.
