New York City Pride: Mother of All Prides
Epicenter of the queer world
Fifty years ago, at the now world-famous Christopher Street, the first queer riots against homophobic police violence began. A human rights movement was born. Today, the New York Pride is the planet's largest LGBT event and is hugely popular. Throughout the month of June, there are cultural events, sporting get-togethers and, of course, lots of parties. The absolute highlight is the gigantic Pride Parade, which is one of the biggest in the world.
